Mikaela's choice: the "Jeff Shiffrin Athlete Resiliency Fund" is born to help young people

The American champion, with the help of other donors, has decided to open a fund dedicated to her missing father and with a great goal in support of the athletes of the future.

A choice of heart, and it is not the first time that Mikaela Shiffrin has done something concrete to help the American skiers of the future, participating in fundraising and various initiatives. This time, however, the champion of Eagle has decided to take another step: together with her family and with the help of other donors, the “Jeff Shiffrin Athlete Resiliency Fund” was created. It is a fund, with a contribution of up to one and a half million dollars, which aims to allow the stars and stripes athletes to continue training and keep the course towards their Olympic dream, which in the immediate means Beijing 2022. A way to honor the memory of dad Jeff, who tragically passed away last February, and to contribute to the search for excellence for all the kids of the future in each of the winter disciplines that belong to the US Ski & Snowboard Team. "Resilience has become essential in my life in these last 7 months so difficult - explained Mikaela with a video via social media - The stories that we will share with the Jeff Shiffrin Athlete Resiliency Fund, will make you shiver down your spine, to get up and dance at the same time as crying and laughing. A huge effort to help US Ski Team athletes during one of the most challenging, frustrating and confusing times any of us have had to go through. I am proud of all of this and grateful to everyone who helped bring this to life. Together we can keep the flame alive ”.
