Dominant in the two European Cup descents on Deborah Compagnoni, the 20-year-old from Salzburg broke her tibia and slowed down in the finish area. Season over and goodbye possible final victory of the continental circuit.

It had been a triumphant day for the Wunderteam in pink, with two hat-tricks and even eight top ten athletes in the second race held in a few hours in Santa Caterina Valfurva.
The two European Cup descents on the "Deborah Compagnoni" saw Austria dominate, in particular with a young phenomenon like Lisa Grill: after having already triumphed in super-g in Zinal, the 2000 class from Salzburg had taken the lead of the general classification by signing an amazing one-two in Valtellina. Then the mockery, as Lisa fell after crossing the finish line and sustained a fracture in the tibia of her right leg.
Season clearly over, after the first visit to Sondrio and the next one to the university hospital in Innsbruck, and the great mockery of losing the chance to win the European Cup (which led with 17 points margin on the Slovenian slalomist Andreja Slokar), with the fixed places attached for the next World Cup. Grill, three times silver at the last Junior World Championships in Narvik (always behind compatriot Magdalena Egger between downhill, super-g and combined), would probably also have competed in the resumption of the World Cup in Val di Fassa, she who in Crans -Montana in super-g took third place in the points with a great 18th place only in his fourth race in the maximum circuit.
To see it grow dramatically as it has already shown it can, we will have to wait until the 2021/22 vintage.
