Nassfeld Pramollo dreams of the World Cup: it could replace Bad Kleinkirchheim and Zauchensee in the future

A very well known place for enthusiasts, a stone's throw from Friuli, which could live a historic first.

Nassfeld Pramollo dreams of the World Cup, and the possibility that the maximum female circuit lands in Carinthia is more than concrete. Just today and up until Friday, the Austrian national speed rose found itself on these mountains for a rally that looks like a launch towards a future at the highest level. The first two alternatives in Bad Kleinkirchheim and Zauchensee, in the near future, would in fact be Nassfeld Pramollo and Gerlitzen. In the case of this last location, which is located north-east of Villach, the dream could come true already on 28-29 December 2020 with a giant and a slalom, in the classic two-day end of year assigned to Austria and which next season will see Semmering again inserted into the circuit. Claudia Strobl, president of the Karnten Landesskiverband, explains: "We still have to assess the situation in Bad Kleinkirchheim, we talked to Gerlitzen and we will do it also with Nassfeld, a decision will be made by September for Carinthia to be in the next World Cup calendars."
