After the event in Zagreb, the Women's World Cup will return to the protagonist on the weekend of 11-12 January in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, with descent (starting with the tests already on Thursday 9) and the first Alpine combined of the season, in which Petra Vlhova will certainly take part and, most likely, Mikaela Shiffrin.
Tuesday 14, however, here is the night slalom of Flachau: the Salzburg race was officially confirmed today by the FIS after the usual snow check, which will also feature the Sestriere in the coming days, for a sort of formality given that in Vialattea conditions are ideal for disputing giant and parallel giant on the “Kandahar GA Agnelli "(18-19 January).
The news of the last hours is represented by the following weekend, the one that will kick off the speed season, with triple consecutive appointment in combined downhill / super-g between Bansko (25-26 January), Rosa Khutor (1-2 February ) and Garmisch-Partenkirchen (8-9 February). In Bulgaria, in fact, the descent canceled in Val d''Isère on 21-22 December should be recovered, given that the organizers of the resort that in recent years have invested heavily in the World Cup events, including the men's sector (in Bansko they would also like a fixed stage on the calendar, currently not guaranteed), they were the only ones to offer themselves in a concrete way to add a race on Friday 24 January.
The combined skipped in Savoy, however, almost certainly will not be recovered anymore, with the calendar reduced to 40 races and therefore to three specialty tests that will still award the discipline cup.
