The nouvelle vague of the Italian women's slalom can also count on the 21-year-old Tarvisian, back from a season of ups and downs.

It is a trio that can make you dream, at least to bring back more than one athlete in the top ten of the world slalom, which lately has only seen Irene Curtoni grasp that type of result.
The veteran from Valtellina will still be a reference, probably for the last year of her career, but Marta Rossetti, Martina Peterlini and Lara Della Mea seem to have very clear ideas. There has been a lot of talk about the Garda and Trentino in the last season, that of the explosion for both, while the Tarvisian born in 1999 emerged in the 2018/19 vintage, with the world bronze in the team event in Are and especially the debut in the World Cup, with three placements in points and an amazing 16th place in Semmering.
Della Mea is heading towards the third full year in the maximum circuit, which also in the last season has alternated constantly with the European Cup, despite having the guaranteed permanent position in the CdM; the Friulian suffered in the first races in Levi and Killington, then took the two 24th places of Lienz and Zagreb, between the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, which did not allow her to approach the top 30 in the slalom WCSL anyway.
In the meantime, growth was constant in the European Cup in January, with two thirds in 24 hours in Zell am See and the second place obtained in the final race on March 1st in Bad Wiessee, when Lara touched the first success on the continental circuit (it has risen six times on the podium in career, with the success in the final slalom ranking in 2018/19), missed by only one tenth.
Now Della Mea goes in search of that technical stability and that security that can make it constantly emerge even in the World Cup, because like the peers with whom she has already trained for over ten days at the Stelvio, she does not lack the means.
