Fright for Sofia Goggia: involved in a maxi collision on the highway, the Olympic champion unharmed

As reported by "La Gazzetta dello Sport", the Italian downhill skier experienced moments of fear this morning at Desenzano del Garda.

Sofia Goggia, in fact, was involved in a maxi collision between several vehicles, around 9.30am on the A4 motorway. The Olympic champion, who carries out the work of athletic preparation in Verona, fortunately came out unscathed from the accident, which paralyzed the traffic creating more than seven kilometers of queue. The 26-year-old from Bergamo arrived in Milan in the evening, awaiting media commitments, and will return to training regularly tomorrow, before leaving for Colorado on Monday 11 November, when the Italians will fly to Copper Mountain for the preparation period overseas before of the Killington races (Sofia, among other things, had announced in the past few days that she had missed a couple of days of slalom training at the Stelvio to recover better). Goggia had been the protagonist of an accident, very different in that case, already in April at Sestriere when he had avoided stopping another car with his car, ending up in a van parked on the road in an ... incredible way.
