As for some time now, outside the competition period, Lara Gut-Behrami has stayed well away from spotlight, media and social media.
From the brace of the rebirth, signed with the successes in the two descents of Crans-Montana in front of the teammate Corinne Suter, the winner of the 2015/16 World Cup has disappeared from the radars. In the past few hours, however, Lara has returned to speak during the Swiss Radio and Television program, "Rete Uno Sport"; in perfect Italian, of course, she who lives in our country with her husband Valon Behrami, a footballer who will be back on the field from next weekend to try to win salvation with the Genoa shirt.
"We had time to be together, it was the first time that I stayed at home without being injured - said Gut-Behrami on the subject of lockdown - In such a period we become philosophers and poets, then 99% of people forget of all good intentions. That's how we are done...".
The post-Covid-19 situation, however, is also seen by the Ticino from a useful point of view: “I hope that social distancing has an impact, because for us athletes it is not pleasant that strangers touch you as if we were best friends. I consider it a lack of respect for privacy. Or, simply, being in the supermarket without someone breathing on your neck: I think it's right to find a middle ground. "
