Aksel Lund Svindal won for the 5th time the super-G in Lake Louise, good quarter Christof Innerhofer

He narrowly missed the podium in the downhill yesterday, today is back to dominate. Aksel Lund Svindal won the men's World Cup super-G in Lake Louise ahead of 00:38 respectively two cents Austrian Matthias Mayer and Georg Streitberger.

On another day the weather conditions certainly not optimal Svindal has built its success by coming to the big central part of the more technical and doing great speed to the finish line overtaking Mayer in the last section. For the Norwegian is the 22nd success in the World Cup, the eleventh in this specialty, and even the fifth in super-G in Lake Louise, one more of Hermann Maier in which shared the record of successes as well as the third in a row on this track. Aksel is also leading the overall World Cup with 40 points ahead of Marcel Hirscher, Mayer wins a second place as last January in Kitzbühel while Streitberger is the seventh podium in the Cup, the sixth in the super-G. Too bad for Christof Innerhofer quarter to 68 cents from Svindal and 3 tenths off the podium, the South Tyrolean once again was one of the best in the technical part but has paid the difficulties of smoothness at the bottom but this is still his best result at Lake Louise where he earned two sixth places, one in 2008 and one in downhill in the super-G in 2010. Same goes for the best of the Swiss, Patrick Küng, fifth, sixth and seventh two other Austrians Hannes Reichelt and Max Franz, Peter Fill an eighth that started the season well ex-aequo with the fifth Austrian Joachim Puchner, one of many that comes back from an injury, it closes the top ten home favorite Canadian Jan Hudec. Behind him well three other gentlemen who are catching the best condition after their physical problems: eleventh and thirteenth Swiss Carlo Janka and Beat Feuz and twelfth Norwegian Kjetil Jansrud, has messed Adrien Theaux yesterday third and still the best of the French although fifteenth behind the other Swiss Didier Defago. E 'instead finished off the American Ted Ligety. We will update you on the placings of the other blue. Next week from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 will be played a super-G, downhill and a giant.
