The Austrian championship on large hill, held at the historic Bergiselschanze of Innsbruck, proved to be extremely uncertain and extremely balanced.

The challenge for the national title focused on the two home favorites Andreas Kofler and Gregor Schlierenzauer. At the end of the two race series was the most senior party, took first prize for only 4 points.
