Florian Schieder not too satisfied with his season: "I have to make fewer mistakes"

The South Tyrolean sprinter scored three points in the World Cup for the first time, but wants more to establish himself in the key moment of his career.

Florian Schieder lived his first real season in the World Cup, playing nine races between downhill, super-g and alpine combined, and at the same time thus sacrificing also a part of the European Cup calendar. The best results have clearly arrived from the continental circuit for the 24 year old from Castelrotto (7th and 8th in the two descents of Orcieres, 8th in the super-g of Santa Caterina Valfurva), however positive also in CdM with the double 25th place both in the combined Bormio and in the super-g of Saalbach, in addition to the 30th in the second combined held in Wengen. Still, speaking to the guys on the instagram page Ski Italia Team Fans (https // www.instagram.com / skiitaliateamfans /), Schieder was not too satisfied with the 2019/20 vintage: "Budget so-so ... often in race I made mistakes that precluded me the possibility of obtaining important placements. I will have to work on constant performance as a target for the next season. " Florian's reference? It was always the fellow countryman Peter Fill, with descent and super-g in the DNA and the beginning on skis "at 3-4 years, I don't even remember exactly but I know that I immediately liked this sport, because you practice outdoors and surrounded by nature. And because it gives me the opportunity to go down on the most beautiful downhill slopes in the world ". The young blue is calm referring to this period of quarantine: "I can't do too much, but the training continues well and in this moment it's enough for me".
