Those who know him and followed his competitive path, between the difficulty of entering the national team and the injuries he suffered, know that he will not give up easily.
Guglielmo Bosca is ready to return again, having lost another entire competitive vintage for the after-effects of the terrible injury he suffered on December 20, 2017 in Reiteralm (the location that gave him the first podium at the continental level the previous year). For those who do not remember, that day in the first super-g of the European Cup season, when the 25-year-old from Milan seemed really in great shape and had already been protagonist in the previous weeks in the World Cup, a fall that he himself had called banal yes turned into an authentic drama. Within a week, six operations were needed to put back together the left leg devastated by the broken and exposed biosseal fracture.
"Gugu" did not give up, indeed in the autumn of 2018 he had already put down his skis, but the pains in the fibula never allowed him to return and be able to return to the race. Between so many physiotherapy and recovery times that have expanded, in the past month he also obtained a degree in computer engineering at the Polytechnic of Milan, and then returned under the knife in recent days, as told by the same blue sprinter who, through his social, has also shown the stages of removal of the intramedullary nail inserted in his tibia (really strong images).
"We decided together with the medical team, after the problems accused returning to the track, to intervene by synthesizing the fibula and then removing the nail in the tibia - tells the same Bosca - The positive note is that we should have solved the problems with the patellar tendon and the other side of the coin is that the crutches are back. I want to put this injury behind me for good, for me the 2019/2020 season starts here â€.
