It is now official, after announcing that it wants to speak to the press at the end of Kitzbuehel's downhill run, the one he conquered four years ago and that today saw him leave the scene losing the right ski immediately after the start, plunged into the void of the Mausefalle.
Peter Fill retires at 37 and after winning two downhill World Cups, one combined and world weight medals. Today his penultimate descent, given that the South Tyrolean has decided not to continue until the end of this season, but will wear the last bib next Saturday in Garmisch. "Yes, I will leave skiing in a few days - he told us on the phone a few minutes ago - I wanted to announce it here in Kitz, the place that gave me the most beautiful joy".
