Summer full of Mattia Casse, from the Stelvio to Les Deux Alpes, from Landgraaf to Zermatt

The 30-year-old Piedmontese has already accumulated several days with long skis; yes, next season is the right one to get the first podium in the World Cup, with a world championship dream ...

We have been waiting for him for some time, the same teammates consider him an extraordinary talent, but in recent times the signs have been clear. At 30, Mattia Casse finally seems ready to climb to the top of world speed, to compete for podiums and successes especially in "his" super-g, a discipline that last season saw him close in sixth position in the World Cup standings. World and with three fifth places between Lake Louise, Kitzbuehel and Saalbach. The Piedmontese cuirassier is experiencing a truly full summer: he started with his teammates on the Stelvio glacier, in the mega blue gathering in June, he continued with an individual work in Les Deux Alpes (where the brothers Marsaglia and Elena Curtoni), to then leave again with a weekend in the indoor facility of Landgraaf, in the Netherlands, to concentrate on the basic technique together with the whole group of Alberto Ghidoni, who then moved to Zermatt to a week on the glacier chosen by practically all the national teams to do quality work. The confrontation with Dominik Paris, highly anticipated to return on skis, is still missing, always useful to understand at what point Mattia will be found in the autumn, even if there will still be a lot of time ahead given the cancellation of the North American races and the debut for jet men scheduled for almost mid-December, on the Oreiller-Killy in Val d''Isère.
