The Italian GP slalom on the Zoncolan rewards Matteo Canins and a super Lorenzo Thomas Bini

The conclusion of the two days of FIS competitions, valid for the national circuit, sees the blue beat the Austrian Gramshammer and the Japanese Takeuchi, while the talent of the Ski Team Cesana wins among the youngsters and wins a pass for the Cup Europe.

Monte Zoncolan, so dear to cycling fans (and will return in the 2021 Giro) confirms the excellent form of the Novese Lorenzo Thomas Bini who, after the first place among the Young in the giant Ravascletto staged on Saturday, conceded the encore also in slalom. The absolute FIS race was won by Matteo Canins from Trentino (Fiamme Gialle) with 60 cents ahead of the Austrian Mario Gramshammer (Sportverein Achensee) and with 1 ”45 over the Japanese Rion Takeuchi (Nippon Sport Science University). Canins is also first in the classification of the Grand Prix Italia Seniores, ahead of Pietro Franceschetti (Val Palot, eighth at the finish) and Alessandro Salini (Bormio), ninth overall. Bini, standard bearer of the regional team of the FISI Western Alps Committee and registered with the Cesana Ski Team, finished 14th overall and first in the Italian GP Youth classification. Behind him Simone Gallina (S.K. Devin) and Gianlorenzo Di Paolo (Fiamme Gialle), while Raffael Hopfgartner is the first Aspirant with the 20th overall position. The two performances on the Carnic snow earned Bini the call for the European Cup races scheduled in Folgaria, with the two giants on the Salizzona track scheduled for 22 and 23 January.
