Mauro Caviezel is already back: in Diavolezza the first corners after the rupture of the Achilles tendon

The winner of the last super-g World Cup on the track 4 months after the injury; he will be there for the first quick races in Val d''Isère.

A super recovery, even if the real answers will only come with the first real workouts and especially in the race. Mauro Caviezel and the Swiss national team, however, can smile for the return to the track of the holder of the super-g crystal ball, exactly four months after the Achilles tendon crash in his left leg. Last June 10th, the Grisons player got injured playing floorball (a sort of hockey without protections and skates), just yesterday here was the first free field skiing in Diavolezza. As his trainer, Tom Jaeger had announced in recent days, Mauro managed to anticipate the times that initially envisaged his return for December; just in a couple of months there will be the first quick races of the 2020/21 World Cup, on the Oreiller-Killy in Val d''Isère, and unless there are hitches Caviezel will be there.
