Back on the Streif, for the three most awaited days of the year which, never as on this occasion, between the absence of the public and the cancellation of the two slaloms scheduled for last weekend on the Ganslern, will be completely special.
Kitzbuehel is ready, however, to host the 82nd edition of the Hahnenkammrennen, from 22 to 24 January with two descents (scheduled at 11.30) on the track symbol of speed, before next Sunday's super-g (at 10.20); the most awaited man in Italy and beyond is clearly Dominik Paris, forced to skip the Kitz races last year, due to the crusader's breakdown remedied on the eve of the tests on the track that the blue ace tamed four times. Curiously, always in odd years having won the queen descent in 2013, 2017 and 2019, in addition to the super-g of 2015.
Only two tests will be disputed, starting directly on Wednesday (attention because the weather is expected to deteriorate for the three days of competition), again at 11.30, and there will be six blues at the starting gate on the Streif.
Christof Innerhofer will not be there, as confirmed by the FISI press office for personal health reasons: in addition to Paris, there will be Emanuele Buzzi, Davide Cazzaniga, Matteo Marsaglia, Florian Schieder and Pietro Zazzi, confirmed after the debut of Bormio.
