Four days from Palermo to Montecarlo: what an adventure for Ivica Kostelic with the best sailors in the world

A champion of the great ski protagonist in one of the most important races of the season.

As we had told in recent days, Ivica Kostelic had decided to face the sea again, after having already competed in various sailing competitions over the last two years, taking the start of the 15th edition of the Palermo-Montecarlo. At the start 57 crews with some of the stars of this world, covering the approximately 500 miles that divide the Gulf of Mondello, from which we started last Wednesday, to the finish placed in the heart of the Yacht Club of Monaco. Sunday afternoon, after four days of sailing, the winner of the Croatia Full of Life Ola 2011 World Cup winner, completed a new venture, competing with his Class 40 which saw two boats at the start ( in addition to the Croatian, also the French Made in Midi), while the absolute level race was won by Maxi Vera, led by the Argentinian shipowner Miguel Galuccio.  "It was fantastic once again", Ivica smiled at the end of the competition, before enjoying a few hours of relaxation in an evocative place like Montecarlo. The passion for sailing, at least for this 2019, will now be set aside to start following the boys of the Croatian national ski team, which the 39-year-old from Zagreb has led to high levels in recent seasons, dreaming who knows of seeing soon on the podium of a World Cup slalom among the various Rodes, Vidovic or Kolega ...
