There were no major surprises in the composition of the national teams in view of the 2019/2020 season, including some relegation and promotion widely expected.
An absence, however, catches the eye and is that of Roberto Nani; coming from several complicated seasons, in particular the last one in which he left the "Cup" of the World Cup, the 30 year old from Valtellina was not even included in the European Cup team, which he had attended for most of the second phase of the year just ended.
Explanation? The same Nani provides it through social media, not without a controversial vein for a decision that certainly surprises, considering the past of an athlete who, at a competitive level, would still be in full athletic maturity but really can't find himself and now suffers a nice blow.
"The last season did not go as I had hoped - explains the livignasco - especially in the race, because in training I always managed to be fast. As you have seen from the Fisi lists I am not part of their programs, I was hoping for a call or meeting as I was told a few days ago, but there was nothing! I will however do everything in the summer to be ready and if they give me the chance we will see each other in Solden â€.
In the 2018/19 season, Nani did not get any points in the World Cup, starting immediately with very high bibs and participating in the last giant in the maximum circuit in Saalbach, last December 19th; then only FIS and European Cup competitions, but also in the continental circuit it has collected very little, with a 17th place as the best result. And now, the exclusion that hurts the most.
