Saalbach-Hinterglemm, now almost made for the recovery of men's fast races

The cancellation of the Yanqing appointment due to Coronavirus will bring the World Cup back to the Austrian resort in advance of the dates: descent on Thursday 13 February, super-G the following day.

Only the official, expected in the next few hours, is missing for the venue for the recoveries of the men's fast races that will not be held in Yanqing, due to the known situation linked to the Coronavirus. Saalbach-Hinterglemm is the location chosen by the FIS, in agreement with Infront and the Austrian federation that has proposed for the return of the World Cup in the area between Salzburg and Tyrol, to dispute the descent and super-g jumped on the Olympic slopes Chinese. Attention, however, because it will compete in advance of the dates of Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 February; considering that the previous weekend there will be two technical races (slalom and parallel giant) in Chamonix, and the following one we will have to fly to Japan for giant and slalom in Yuzawa-Naeba (22-23 February), we go towards two days of testing Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 February, with descent Thursday 13 and super-G on Friday 14. Saalbach, who ran for the 2025 world championships (if she will play against Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Crans-Montana) will already host two European Cup descents, on 5-6 February, and last year she brought home two recoveries (giant and slalom) almost 4 years after the weekend of fast races which, in February 2015, saw Matthias Mayer signing the double descent and super-g.
