In an interview with an American radio station, the Salt Lake City native revealed that, in the next World Cup year, he will only compete in giant to try to be competitive again at the highest level, thus giving up combined and super-g.
"I will be able to manage myself better and go home sometimes even during the season," explained Ligety. "With a 2-year-old child and a family, the factors to manage are greater than when I was 25 years old. I'd like to go on until I feel good and I'll still be able to win. "
Ted, who does not win from the Solden giant 2015, seems confident in view of his debut on one of his favorite tracks, for the scheduled race on the Rettenbach on October 27th, and no limits were set towards the goal in the long term (which he had confessed long ago, ed) represented by his participation in his fifth Olympics, that of Beijing 2022.
