A terrible news, which arrived a few hours after the death of the bi snowboard cross world champion, the Australian Alex Pullin.
It is a very sad day for the winter disciplines, with the death of Finn Christian Jagge which leaves a great void in the world of skiing: the Norwegian champion died, at only 54 years old, due to a fulminant illness, as communicated by the social media wife.
Jagge was one of Alberto Tomba's greatest rivals, a pure slalomist who, for 15 years, has been a huge protagonist of the white circus, from his very young beginnings at the World Championships in Bormio. The pearl obviously remains the Olympic title in its discipline, won at the Albertville Games by resisting the comeback of the same Tomb in the second round; that year, the Scandinavian was also third in the specialty ranking in the World Cup, with the first success obtained a few months earlier in Madonna di Campiglio.
A special relationship with 3Tre, where he also achieved the seventh and last career victory (topped with 17 overall podiums, all in slalom), eight years later, or on December 13, 1999. Italy was really special for him, if we think that in '97 and '98 he also won the two slaloms played in Sestriere.
