Cortina -100. One hundred days at the alpine ski world championships in the shadow of the Tofane, one hundred days to live despite the uncertainties related to the pandemic.
Cortina 2021 is already ready and today, to launch this countdown that will lead up to the world championship event scheduled from 7 to 21 February, a streaming event has been invented with attention to the smallest details, with the show orchestrated by journalist Zoran Filicic and Jacopo Pozzi of The Owl Post, the Italian house of sports storytelling which, thanks to the project established with the Ampezzo organization, has been talking about the approach to the World Cup for months.
Sofia Goggia and Dominik Paris were the illustrious guests of a live broadcast that saw the Italian champions talk about each other even off the slopes. The Olympian from Bergamo, ambassador of Cortina 2021 together with Kristian Ghedina, spoke in particular of her approach to a season where “I want to feel that lightness, in soul and spirit, which at the same time does not mean superficiality. After a difficult year that has taught me a lot, I live everything more peacefully and the World Cup will be at the center of all this ”.
Sofia talked about the many injuries, "always taken as personal challenges and a chance to become stronger, even if some were hard to digest", and a World Cup calendar "which hasn't changed much for us, apart from the cancellation of the North American trip and the amalgamation of double races such as Sankt Moritz and Courchevel in December. After all there is not much difference, apart from the canceled combined: even if for that discipline, there is the appointment in Cortina with the medals ... ”.
