Over twenty days after being stuck with his back, during a workout in Colorado that brought out a herniated disc problem, Manuel Feller is back on skis and will try to save his season, looking for the return for the great slalom classics in January.
The Tyrolean slalomgigantista has so far managed to "contain" the injury, avoiding surgery, even though it is a relapse for him who has had to live with this problem for years; Thursday the first turns on the home snow, in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, and a certain confidence to return to the race shortly. "If he gets better and better, we will soon start a quality training session for Manuel," said manager Andreas Puelacher, who dreams of finding one of his most important men, considering that Austria is still dry of podiums in the men's technical disciplines, if we exclude the third place obtained by Roland Leitinger in the parallel giant.
The return to the race is already certain, after almost two years of absence, of a talent that responds to the name of Melanie Meillard: the Swiss, who had seriously injured her left knee a few days before the 2018 PyeongChang Games , after two operations (the last one in autumn 2018, which had forced her to lose all last season), she was called up for the slalom on Sunday in Lienz, where we will finally see her again in the World Cup from last appearance on January 30, 2018 in the Stockholm city event.
