Finals in Cortina or nothing, given that the alternatives would still be at risk, given the global situation linked to Coronavirus.
As known, on Friday 6 March a final decision will be taken on the dispute or not of the World Cup finals, after the postponement (at the request of the FISI) decided yesterday, in order to await further developments on regulations and the prevention implemented by the Government .
As Simone Battaggia reports on the columns of "La Gazzetta dello Sport", the last act of the season will have no alternative: if you manage to compete in Cortina well (and it is practically certain behind closed doors, or with a situation similar to La Thuile ), otherwise you will not go to other locations, ending the season between Are (women) and Kranjska Gora (men).
The words of the number 1 of the Austrian federation, Peter Schroecksnadel, have made much discussion since, directly from Hinterstoder, the president of the most powerful nation in the world of skiing said he preferred an early closure of the season to avoid any type of risk. It is equally true that the FIS council is composed of 18 representatives and the dynamics and variables are many: however, almost everything will depend on the governmental provisions of our country and therefore of the health authorities.
