The "August Decree" approved in recent days by the Council of Ministers contains an important news regarding the next Alpine Skiing World Championships, scheduled in Cortina d''Ampezzo from 8 to 21 February 2021.
In fact, the Government has decided to grant a counter guarantee to the Italian Winter Sports Federation, in the event of cancellation of the world championship event due to Covid-19, for a maximum amount of 14 million euros. A measure in addition to the financial support of 10 million Swiss francs granted by the FIS during the last Council held on 2 July.
