If the World Cup has to deal with the thousand problems related to the Covid situation, but also to the "classic" ones, as demonstrated by the two-week shift of the parallels provided in Lech / Zuers, due to the lack of snow in the Vorarlberg area , the 2020/21 European Cup will be even more complicated to manage than the maximum circuit.
In recent days, the official cancellations of other stages of the very first part of the season have arrived, from the Norwegian races of Trysil to some events on the Italian snows such as Livigno and Obereggen, while today the news concerns the 48-hour advance of those that become the first tests of the continental circuit.
In Reiteralm, where two male giants are scheduled, there will be competitions on Sunday 29 and Monday 30 November, thus ending five days before the World Cup appointment in Val d''Isère, where the program will be the same for the restart of the Men's CdM on 5-6 December (the European Cup will then go to Zinal for a triptych from 7 to 9 December with super-g, combined and giant). The location of Styria, which had seen last year's finals canceled due to a pandemic, is planning again the last races of the 2020/21 season (from 19 to 21 March), while the two inaugural giants will represent a return to the European Cup. almost 3 years after the last time.
Reiteralm, in fact, has not hosted continental competitions from 20-21 December 2017 (dates that Guglielmo Bosca cannot forget, who suffered a very serious injury on that occasion), when the Austrians Christoph Krenn and Niklas Koeck (in the photo) dominated, exchanging the first two steps of the podium in the super-gs played in one of the most renowned locations for the training of the big names in the World Cup.
