The Finnish organizing committee wants the stage of 21-22 November, despite the problems related to Covid, with the possibility of a doubling of the races.

“We want an event in which risks are minimized, safely making an event that has great significance for Finland”.
The organizing committee of the World Cup races scheduled in Levi, with the women's and men's slalom on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November, confirms its intention to keep intact the program that foresees the challenges between the rapid gates in the Lapp region, the first of the season 2020/21.
Indeed, it is already assumed that the FIS can double the races, exploiting the missed trip to North America in the following days, with the clear intention of grouping more appointments of the same disciplines in the same location. "The situation now requires extensive planning and cooperation with the Finnish authorities and ministries, starting with the hospital district of Lapland," said Iiro Kaukoniemi, general secretary of the CDM in Levi, in a press release.
An update will be made every two weeks based on the evolution of the pandemic, "evaluating the presence of the public and if necessary also the possibility of organizing charter flights for athletes and staff".
