FISI stops youth activities for all winter disciplines. Finals of Cortina towards the s

According to yesterday's government decree, the federation keeps only events for competitors where "closed doors" and various security measures are guaranteed.

Suspension until April 3, 2020 for all youth activities, with only competitions for athletes who can go on stage "behind closed doors" and guaranteeing all necessary safety measures. The FISI has confirmed, in alignment with the government decree issued yesterday evening, an almost total block of the races scheduled for the next month, with the necessary distinctions of the case. As for the World Cup finals in Cortina, with the official decision that will arrive tomorrow after the decisive meeting with the FIS, there is confidence to be able to play them without the public. The federal statement clarifies that "events and competitions where competitive athletes are present are authorized, provided that they are played in sports facilities used behind closed doors and strictly following the protocol". All federal calendar competitions where it is not possible to guarantee compliance with the interpersonal safety distance and / or the risk of assemblies, are to be considered suspended until April 3, 2020, without prejudice to further indications from the competent bodies. In particular, the sporting events of the following categories are suspended: alpine skiing from students to promotional competitions, the same applies to cross-country skiing, biathlon, snowboarding, natural sledding and ski mountaineering (from the Cadets), ditto for ski jumping from under 16 and down.
