The FIS congress in Cavtat-Dubrovnik has deliberated the latest news starting from the next season: Oslo renounces the race on January 1st, will Davos take over?

The 2019/2020 World Cup calendars will be published today in conclusion of the usual spring appointment that brought together world ski leaders in Croatia.
The next will be the record season, with 43 races for the women's sector and 46 for men, in the year without major events such as the Olympics or the World Championships, but also the introduction of some new features such as the reduction of the starting field .
To be at the start of a CdM competition, in fact, it will be necessary to be at least among the first 150 athletes of the FIS points list for the specialty in question or within the first 30 of the relative WCSL. As for the parallels, on the other hand, you can participate only if you are below 140 FIS points in one of the other five specialties: by doing so, you should reduce the startlist of each race in the male sector by a dozen units, since the change does not involves women's competitions.
Speaking of parallels, a dedicated WCSL was finally created (called PWSL), with a single format that brings together city events and parallel giant slalom: the first 30 in the world rankings, therefore, will take part in a qualifying round to form the final scoreboard at 16 which, from the round of 16, will lead to play the race with round-trip heats in every type of competition (for example, in Alta Badia the heat left after the first round caused a lot of discussion in the past years, ed.)
Compared to the draft calendar, Oslo has renounced (after only two editions) the parallel scheduled for January 1, which should be assigned to Davos; the official will only take place next July 10, while the other substantial change regarding the men concerns the request of the organizers of Yuzawa-Naeba (the Japanese location that will return to host the Cup in February 2020 after 4 years from last time), who would like two giants instead of a competition between wide doors and a slalom.
Finally, the combined Alpine theme: we want to re-launch a race format that risked extinction, for now it is only known that there will be three men's tests (compared to the two originally planned) and four women's tests, which the FIS council will ratify on Sunday before making the calendars official.
