In Latvia the Italian roller ski weekend got off to a great start; 7 ^ Elisa Sordello in the women's race won by Lockner. Double fifth blue place among the juniors.

Emanuele Becchis also wins the Madona World Cup sprint, the first race of the Latvian weekend dedicated to the highest roller ski circuit, beating the Russian Dmitriy Voronin at the finish line. In third place was the Norwegian Kristian Ankersen.
Tommaso Dellagiacoma stopped in 16th place, right in front of Matteo Tanel and Riccardo Masiero. For Becchis this is the second center of the season after the victory in the fast race of Banska Bystrica, with the blue now climbing to second place in the overall cup standings with 362 points, behind the Latvian Raimo Vigants who has 405 points. is Matteo Tanel with 313 points.
In the women's race, the best blue was Elisa Sordello with seventh place; triumph of the Swedish Jackline Lockner, ahead of the Czech Sandra Schuetzova and the Russian Olga Letucheva.
