Junior roller ski world championships, eight Azzurri will compete (with great ambitions) in Madona

The Latvian locality will host, from next 25 August, the world championship for the youngest: Italy at the start with Artusi, Mortagna, Ghiddi and Borettaz aiming high.

Technical director Michel Rainer has dissolved his reservations regarding the squad for the junior roller ski world championships, which will take place in Madona, Latvia, from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 August. There will be eight Italian athletes who will take to the track, with the national team having important ambitions in the scheduled races. On the opening day, the men's 10 km and the women's 7.5 km in classic technique will start, on Friday 26th it will be the turn of the team sprint which will be followed by the supersprint on Saturday 27th. Grand final on Sunday 28th with the men's 20 km and the women's 15 km, both mass starts. In the blue male team, Aksel Artusi, Marco Gaudenzio, Giovanni Lorenzetti, Riccrdo Munari and Gabriele Rigaudo will be protagonists, while the female team will be able to count on Anna Maria Ghiddi, Laura Mortagna and Sabrina Borettaz, a trio of great quality also looking at the results obtained in the Cup of the world.
