Saturday, in the symbolic place of the 2016 earthquake, the blues of speed will be the protagonists for the first real appointment of the 2021 season which will culminate with the World Championships in Val di Fiemme.

The 2021 season of the blue roller ski starts from Amatrice, site of the terrible earthquake of 24 August 2016, after a 2020 in which no races were held due to the pandemic. All the athletes of the national team are eager to compete in these first rounds of the season, very important for the comparison and for the qualification for the first stages of the World Cup.
2021 is a special year, as it will culminate in the month of September in Val di Fiemme with the world championships. On Saturday 12 June, the speed specialists will take to the track in Amatrice with the sprint test of the Italian Cup and yet another duel between Alessio Berlanda and Emanuele Becchis awaits us, with Michele Valerio who will try to be in the match. In the women, Anna Bolzan starts as favorite, but will meet the very young Sabrina Borettaz from Valle d'Aosta who could prove to be the surprise of this season.
On Sunday in Rieti, on the other hand, there is the Italian flat championship which will be held on the circuit with the use of slow wheels, for safety reasons. The organization is entrusted to the Winter Sport Subiaco ski club, Artemisio ski club in Amatrice with the collaboration of Rieti Sport Festival.
