The Pole in front of the celebrating public conquered the second victory of the season in the World Cup, the fifth on the trampoline at home.

After finishing third in the middle of the race behind Stephan Leyhe and Dawid Kubacki, in the second series Stoch made a "five star" jump, kissing the HS point (140 m) and collecting the full of 19.5 from the judges.
This performance put enormous pressure on the two who had yet to appear in the starting line. Leyhe performed excellently and landed at 133m, closing yet another 4th place in his career. At this point the ball passed to Kubacki, who had the opportunity to sign a historic Polish brace. The winner of the last Tour however stopped at 134 m, which earned him third position behind Stefan Kraft, superlative in the second act with a 138 m performance.
Fifth place for the leader of General Karl Geiger, who managed to defend the bib of the record with a comeback in the second part of the race. The German preceded Marius Lindvik 6th and Ryoyu Kobayashi 7th.
The general classification sees Geiger in command with a margin of only 48 points against Stefan Kraft. However, Kobayashi and Kubacki are also involved in the struggle for the crystal ball, respectively less than 100 and 107 lengths from the leader.

The joy of Stoch's victory and Kubacki's third place mitigated the disappointment of the team event on Saturday, closed by Poland in 5th position. For the third time in the season in as many races, a different nation has risen on the top step of the podium. In Zakopane the victory went to Germany, which with Schmid-Eisenbichler-Leyhe-Geiger has trimmed 40 points to Norway and almost 60 to Slovenia, third at the end of the race.
Next weekend the World Cup will move to the east and more precisely to Sapporo (Jpn), where between Saturday and Sunday two individual races will be staged, on paper in favor of the host, Ryoyu Kobayashi.
