Once the Tour of the four trampolines is filed, the World Cup is restarted from Italy. In Val di Fiemme between Saturday and Sunday two tests were performed on a small trampoline that revolutionized the general classification.

After a starring start to the season with five podiums underway but without victory, in Val di Fiemme, on the most suitable terrain for him, Karl Geiger has dispelled the taboo. Indeed it went further. In the two individual tests on Normal Hill the German made a brace, thus climbing to four career victories in the World Cup and conquering the top of the general classification.
In both races, Geiger imposed himself on Stefan Kraft, a serious candidate for the victory of the crystal ball, and Dawid Kubacki, still at the top after the triumph of the Tour of the four trampolines. Twice the Pole mocked his compatriot Kamil Stoch, beaten by one tenth Saturday and nine tenths Sunday.
Ryoyu Kobayashi, 26th in race 1 and 25th in race 2, comes out defeated by the Italian stage. The Japanese has shown an evident technical and physical regression, which he will have to remedy as soon as possible if he wants to stay in the race for the World Cup. The Japanese is now third in the overall standings, 164 points behind Karl Geiger and 44 points behind Stefan Kraft. Fourth place for Kubacki, which precedes Lindvik and Stoch. The Norwegian, disqualified on Saturday, took a good 7th place in Sunday's race, considering the race context which was not particularly favorable to him.
In Italy, Giovanni Bresadola's good performances should be highlighted, who achieved the goal of exceeding qualification in both races.
Next week the World Cup will move to Germany, in Titisee-Neustadt, where two individual races are scheduled.
