Dominik Fischnaller doesn't miss a beat: another podium in Sigulda, Loch burns Aparjods in the sprint

The blue is again third behind the German and the Latvian, this time beaten. In the women's single a great Egle rules Taubitz, while Italy touches the podium also in the sprint of the men's doubles with Rieder and Kainzwaldner, quarters as in the "classic" race.

A stage of the Luge World Cup that smiles on Italy, also in the second and final day on the gut of Sigulda, again thanks to Dominik Fischnaller. Fifth podium of the season, the second in 24 hours, for the South Tyrolean champion who also closes the sprint race in third place: in front of the blue there are always Felix Loch and Kristers Aparjods, but this time the German champion wins, with only 14 thousandths margin on the Latvian who had beaten him on Saturday, while Fischnaller is third with 71 thousandths of a gap. Cousin Kevin, on the other hand, closes 11th. The women's single awarded Madeleine Egle, today amazing with 180 thousandths of a margin over the cup leader, Julia Taubitz, while Tatyana Ivanova finished third before going on to win the sprint test, ahead of Geisenberger and Egle herself. No place in the top ten for the blue, with Andrea Voetter 13th in the “classic” race (Robatscher 18th, Hofer 20th and Zoeggeler 23rd) and 11th in the sprint. Finally, the men's doubles with Emanuel Rieder and Simon Kainzwaldner again fourths, also in the sprint test: the Sics brothers, second yesterday, today took their revenge by burning the German couples formed by Eggert / Benecken, second, and Wendl / Arlt (third ). Behind the best blue crew, here are Rieder / Rastner seventh and Nagler / Malleier eleventh.
