The pandemic linked to the Coronavirus forced the organizers of the "Gitschberg Luge Start Cup" in Merano to cancel the traditional summer event that usually involves the athletes of the blue team and numerous participants in the World Cup.
The competition, which consists of a series of push heats, has become over the years a test to evaluate the form conditions at the end of the summer preparation. "Unfortunately, the current conditions do not allow us to set up the races - explained Helene Stampfl, member of ASV Gitschberg which organizes the races - Let's meet everyone for 2021".
