Tobogganing revises the calendars: Cup opening and closing in Innsbruck, World Cup in Koenigssee

FIL has formalized the appointments for the 2020/21 season: the world championship event (which should have been held in Whistler) will return to Bavaria from 29 to 31 January 2021.

The Executive Board of the International Luge Federation (FIL) has announced the revised calendar of the 2020/21 World Cup, as well as the new venue for the world championships which, instead of in Canada, will be staged in Koenigssee from 29 to 31 January after the eight stages of the maximum circuit. Crystal ball that will in fact be awarded with races only on the guts of the old continent, even if the doubt remains about the seventh stage of CdM, which will be held in Oberhof or Lake Placid (16-17 January 2021), if the pandemic situation will allow you to go to the United States (with the same Olympic site that has already given up the bobsleigh and skeleton world championships, moved to Altenberg. Opening and closing with competitions in Innsbruck (28-29 November and 23-24 January), while from the beginning of December to the beginning of January the four German guts will compete (5-6 December Altenberg, 12-13 December in Oberhof, 19-20 December in Winterberg and 2-3 January in Koenigssee), before moving to Sigulda for the Latvian leg of 9-10 January, also valid for the European Championships.
