Tobogganing: Andrea Voetter 8 ^ in the great day of Egle and Austria, who also triumphs with Steu / Koller

The fourth round of the World Cup, on Altenberg's gut, sees the Austrian beat the German army in the women's single and the returning duo burn Eggert / Benecken for only 3 thousandths. Sunday men's single and team relay with many blue hopes.

The first day of the Altenberg stage speaks Austrian, regarding a sledding World Cup that comes to life with the classic weekend on one of the historic guts of Germany. The hosts have been mocked in both today's appointments, starting with the women's single which saw the triumph of an amazing Madeleine Egle, capable of winning with almost 3 tenths of a margin over the cup leader, Julia Taubitz, with Anna Berreiter over the half a second and Natalie Geisenberger fourth. Good performance by Andrea Voetter, not too far from the podium area after the first run and at the end of the eighth, with Marion Oberhofer 14th, Nina Zoeggeler 15th and Verena Hofer 20th. Austria which signed an encore with the amazing return of Thomas Steu and Lorenz Koller: the holders of the double crystal ball were immediately able to impose themselves, burning the great favorites Eggert / Benecken for a fraction of 3 thousandths, while Bots and Plume gave a good third place, a couple of tenths from the winners, to Latvia. Far from the top this time the two blue crews: Rieder and Kainzwaldner were satisfied with the tenth position, just ahead of Rieder / Rastner, eleventh. The program in Altenberg will be completed on Sunday with the men's single, where Dominik Fischnaller in particular is aiming for the podium as in the "double" in Sochi, and the relay team that has already seen Armin Zoeggeler's national team hit a top 3 on their debut in this season.
