After the postponement of the world championship of sledding on a natural track, it is the South Tyrolean stage of the World Cup that celebrates yet another “monster” season of the Italian champions of this specialty.
Yes, because today Evelin Lanthaler was able to take home the fifth consecutive crystal ball, winning the ... fifth seasonal race in as many events of the women's single. Simply a phenomenon, but to applause is Greta Pinggera herself who finishes second behind her teammate, with Daniela Mittermair completing the blue blockbuster with sixth place.
And the second absolute World Cup of the day comes from the men's doubles of Pigneter and Clara, who sign the fourth victory in five rounds, beating, as well as in the general classification, the Lambacher brothers for another all-Italian double.
Finally, podium of the day also for Alex Gruber, second in the men's single behind an amazing Thomas Kammerlander, finishing ex aequo in the place of honor with the other Austrian Michael Scheikl.
