Big air world champion in Aspen, Bertagna and Lauzi in the final for the medals between snowboard and freeski

Freestyle World Championships: the two Azzurri will play everything, Silvia (preceded only by the French Ledeux in qualification) starting at 5.00 pm today, Emiliano from 8.30 pm (with live TV on Eurosport).

A big air world champion with lots of blue, for a final day on the snows of Aspen that could give the Italian expedition in the world review the long-awaited first medal. In the specialty with the snowboard on his feet, Emiliano Lauzi flew to the final (scheduled at 20.30 Italian, with live TV on Eurosport) with two superlative runs that gave him 84.25 points, allowing the 26-year-old from Milan who is a member of Crammont Mont Blanc, to play its cards for the medal race, with Canadians Mark McMorris and Max Perrot, both over 90 points, starting as favorites ahead of Finland's Rene Rinnekangas. The blue, however, is not far away in terms of performance and his consistency in the two runs (83 points and 84.25) show that he is in good shape. Excluding Alberto Maffei for only 3 points, with the Trentino ending in qualifying at 81.50 and finishing in 15th place, while Loris Framarin 37th and Emil Zulian 38th are more late. Final this afternoon (17.00 Italian time, always live on Eurosport) for Silvia Bertagna, who qualified for the freeski final, thanks to a fantastic second run that earned her 94 points, behind only Frenchwoman Tess Ledeux with 95. The Val Gardena showed an extraordinary state of form that gives hope for a top final. Ralph Welponer and Leonardo Donaggio, on the other hand, were excluded from the men's finals: in the two qualifying heats the Azzurri placed 19th and 25th respectively.
