At 24 he was in the midst of his rise to the highest levels of world skicross, constantly fighting for the top ten and beyond, with the podium that now seemed only a matter of time. On the other hand, Lucrezia Fantelli's race stops just a few weeks from the Idre Fjall world championships. The best blue specialist was injured just at the closing of the CdM stage in the Swedish location that will then host the world championship event: today the diagnosis arrived that speaks of a fracture of the tibial plate of the left leg.
The young Venetian was visited at the Galeazzi Orthopedic Institute in Milan by the FISI Medical Commission, which opted for conservative therapy. Season ended also for Federico Tomasoni: the twenty-four year old from Bergamo was the victim of the rupture of the cruciate ligament of the knee and will be operated on by doctors Andrea Panzeri and Gabriele Thiebat.
