In the second race of the opening weekend of the World Cup, the two standard bearers of the national team failed to pass the qualifications, finishing respectively in 20th and 14th position.

In Chur it is the turn of the snowboard slopestyle specialists, again with regard to the big air discipline, to close the inaugural stage of the World Cup on the Swiss snows.
If Italy yesterday had taken away the satisfaction of Leonardo Donaggio's 8th place in the freeski big air, today it went badly for the two Azzurri in the race who did not manage to overcome the qualification cut. In the men's field, 20th place for Alberto Maffei, out of the final at ten (scheduled from 20.00) in which the Finnish Jarvilehto and the Japanese Otsuka present themselves with the best scores.
Fourteenth place, far enough from the top 8 that it would have earned her the decisive act, for Emma Gennero in the first phase of the women's race, dominated by Reira Iwabuchi and Anna Gasser, with the Austrian Olympic champion who placed the 2nd score behind the Japanese.
