Felicetti close to the podium in the Bannoye opening: 4th place on the day of Sangho Lee and Nadyrshina

Snowboard: The parallel giant of the World Cup opener sees the hosts win in the women's competition with the phenomenal Russian, while the Korean triumphs for the first time. Bitter day for March and Fischnaller, out in qualifying.

A seasonal opening with a bit of bitterness in the mouth for the blue snowboard squadron as regards the Alpine disciplines, with the PGS of Bannoye that does not see any of Cesare Pisoni's 7 men get on the podium, so how, on the other hand, the three girls engaged in the Russian snow remained far from the top positions. To win, for the first time in the World Cup, was the Korean Sangho Lee, with Stefan Baumeister who literally threw the success in the big final to the winds, while Andrei Sobolev bent Mirko Felicetti in the small final to get on the podium. Fourth place then for the Trentino, who in turn had eliminated Daniele Bagozza in the all-Italian quarter-final, before coming out at the best in the semifinal with Lee. There were 5 Azzurri who qualified for the round of 16, where Messner, Coratti and Bormolini came out, but the joke had come in the qualifications with the exit of the two most anticipated strikers, Aaron March (19th) and Roland Fischnaller (22 °). The women's competition marked the first duel, as admired throughout last season, between Sofiya Nadyrshina and Ramona Hofmeister: the very young Russian bent the German in the final, signing the third seal in CdM, with the other Teutonic Langenhorst third in front to the Austrian Dujmovits. No final phase for the blues in the race, with Nadya Ochner out of a whisker and therefore 18th, while the rookie Lucia Dalmasso finished 25th in qualifying. The weekend in Bannoye will end on Sunday with the first PSL of the season.
