Taschler Gottlieb, president of the organizing committee of Anterselva, has officially announced that the South Tyrolean town will be a candidate to host the World Cup in 2019.

"The last time we organized the World Championships in 2007. After twelve years we would like given this prestigious event again in Anterselva. Twelve years is a long time and I am convinced that our employees, the many volunteers, who give us a hand , fans of this great sport, but also the athletes would be happy to come back in five years in Antholz South Tyrol. For our valley and our province would be a showcase priceless and unique opportunity to present themselves to the world. In addition, the World Cup would be important for our economy, because an event of this magnitude also creates many new jobs. "
Antholz has already organized four editions of the World Championships (1975, 1983, 1995 and 2007) with the addition of a sprint champion with the value held in 1976.
