Dorothea Wierer is ready to start again from the track that in the last race of last season had confirmed her again as the winner of the Biathlon World Cup, after the triumph in the 2018/19 season.
The South Tyrolean financier, who will compete tomorrow together with teammates Vittozzi, Gontier, Sanfilippo and Lardschneider, has released the following statements through the official channels of the FISI: "Winning a World Cup is a fantastic and difficult event, winning it twice it's even more tiring. I did it and I know how hard it was, this season will be even more complicated due to the events that are affecting us. The preparation went well, even if I don't feel in great shape, it will take a few races, like every year, to find the right pace. The competition is always higher, but I will have to focus on myself, taking advantage of the experience accumulated over the years. "
A very positive news for the world of Italian biathlon came a few minutes ago: 18-year-old Linda Zingerle was awarded the "Piotr Nurowski" award during the General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees which took place via videoconference from the Salone d ' Honor of CONI. This is a prestigious award for the young South Tyrolean biathlete, winner of three medals during the Lenzerheide Youth World Cup last season.
