Andre Oszmann, president of the British Federation of biathlon, said that'' the agency has enough funds until 30 April 2014, after which it can no longer exist in its present shape.

The words of the federal president, quoted by the BBC website, read as follows: "It is with great regret that the Federal Council had to see how the British Biathlon Union can not function in this structure beyond the end of this fiscal year.
Although there is a strong desire to continue as the national governing body of biathlon, upon the advice can not foresee any expense for the 2014 season -'' 15 nor provide any kind of program or support to athletes after 30 April 2014.
In the coming weeks, the Federal council will consider different options for the future'' about the existence of the British Biathlon Union itself and its international representation from 1 May 2014. "
Oszmann however stated that at least there will be no economic problems'' in the current Olympic season as the funds have already been allocated in the past. The President also stressed the'' absence of contributions by the British Olympic Committee'' from now distant 2006.
In Sochi Britain will benefit from a chest in the races in the male and female. The favorites to represent the UK in the next Olympic Games are the twenty six year old Amanda Lightfoot (in the past able to get into the points in the World Cup) and the thirty-three Lee-Steve Jackson (photo).
