The French Federation of biathlon has selected 5 men and 5 women for the opening stage of the World Cup in Östersund. Stands the choice not to take full advantage of the quota available.

France has in fact have 6 pecs in the men's and 6 women's field, but in recent years it has become practice transalpine to privilege quality over quantity, so preferring to leave some empty seats rather than deploy athletes second floor.
