Lisa Vittozzi absolute dominator, Dorothea Wierer third behind Monika Hojnisz.
This is the verdict of a City Biathlon that, in Wiesbaden (a town north of Germany, not far from Frankfurt), immediately sees the stars of the women's movement ugli scudi, an ideal prelude to the winter season that will see them start again among the big favorites after the one-two in the 2018/19 World Cup (and all the rest ...).
After a morning spent signing autographs in the special Livigno stand (which will host the Palio delle Contrade with Wierer and Vittozzi on the 23rd of August), partner of the event and Dorothea and Lisa, the Italians went wild on the spectacular city circuit , although the start had been difficult with a couple of mistakes each at the first polygon.
From the second Vittozzi will not be wrong anymore, running away immediately while Wierer will commit 4 more errors before adjusting the aim; with the sappadina on the run with over 30 seconds on Hojnisz and the native of Anterselva in comeback towards the podium, so we will arrive at the last polygon. Lisa will miss the last shot, not bad given that the margin will remain huge with Hojnisz at the second second at 51 seconds, while Dorothea takes the podium closing at 1''17 "from the teammate, widely ahead of Yurlova, Hildebrand , Kuzmina and Preuss.
