Amos Mosaner and Stefania Constantini in the history of blue curling. The two standard bearers of the national team have signed a feat in Aberdeen (Scotland), home of the mixed doubles world championships: beating Russia on the last day of the first phase, the Italian couple pocketed the pass for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, the first Italians to do it directly in a world championship. Mosaner and Constantini finished in 3rd place in group A, overcoming the Russian couple with a score of 8-5 and then yesterday evening South Korea for 8-6, with the qualification for the playoffs which was already done thanks to a record of 7 wins and only 2 defeats. Today, at 11 Italian time, the Azzurri will face Norway for a place in the semifinals: if they win, they would write another chapter in history, considering that it would be the best result ever for Italian curling in a world championship.
