In December 2017 we managed to exchange a few words with Alex Zanardi in Udine on the occasion of his participation in the 24x1 hour of Telethon.

Alex at the time had recently established the new world record in the Ironmen of Barcelona and had returned in the previous season of another splendid Olympiad. In Rio, the former Formula 1 driver and CART champion had in fact won two more gold and one silver medals that made the pair at the three gold in London 2012.
Just in Udine Alex had presented to the public Obiettivo3 the association he founded that aims to support the sporting activity of all disabled children who want to approach the world of sport, the same with which Zanardi had undertaken in recent days the project Obiettivo tricolore and which unfortunately saw him involved in yesterday's tragic accident.
On the occasion, we managed to get closer to the Bolognese champion and exchange some lines. Zanardi, as usual, very helpful, revealed all his passion for skiing and winter sports and when we asked him if we would ever see him at the start of a Winter Olympics he told us ...
